If you have something strange, beautiful, participatory or joyful you want to share with the community, this is your moment. If you’ve been sitting on an idea for an installation, performance or playful experience that invites people to engage, collaborate or be surprised, we’d love to hear about it.
You don’t need to be an established artist, just someone with a thoughtful idea and a realistic plan to bring it to life. We prioritise participatory and community-facing art, in line with the 11 Principles of our event.
Art Grants
In 2026 PACT offered a small number of community art grants for Aurora 2026 to help bring bold, interactive and participatory projects to life.
Grants of $300 to $500 were available to help cover materials and or transport for art projects that add creativity, curiosity and shared experience to the event.
To be eligible, the project must be installed within the art zone at Aurora. Projects that are installations within theme camps or personal camps are ineligible.
All artists must purchase a ticket to Auroraburn. Ticket costs cannot be included in the proposed project budget.
Applications were be reviewed by a small selection panel and assessed based on their feasibility, sustainability, creativity, and level of interactiveness for participants
If your grant application is successful, you will be asked to sign an agreement and send an invoice. If you don’t have an ABN, you can submit a Statement by Supplier form instead.
As a final milestone, you’ll be asked to provide a photo and written reflection to acquit the grant.
